This week is starting off far warmer than last, and it looks to stay that way

Alberta's warming trend continues Monday night as the influence of an upper ridge moves further east.

Morning temperatures will start below freezing and climb above zero throughout the day.

Wind speeds pick up in the afternoon with gusts close to 40 or 50 km/h possible.

However, for extreme southwestern parts of the province, those gusts could reach closer to 70 or 80 km/h Tuesday night, possibly triggering wind warnings.
