Calgary police have arrested two people in connection to the death of a young man in a Bridgeland back alley in December 2013.
Anthony James Fernandez, 19, was reported missing by his family on Christmas Eve and his body was found three days later in a vehicle in the 1200 block of Colgrove Avenue N.E.
An autopsy determined that Fernandez died in the early morning hours of Christmas Day and that his death was a homicide.
In August, police released an image of the vehicle he was found in to hopefully produce new information in the case.
On Tuesday, police announced that they have made progress in the investigation and now have two suspects in custody.
The names of the accused will not be released until formal charges have been laid.
Police continue to work the case and are asking anyone with information who has not already spoken to them to call the non-emergency line at 403-266-1234 or by calling the Homicide Unit Tip Line at 403-428-8877.
