Authorities are now searching for a 19-year-old Calgary man believed to have been in an accident while climbing near Field.
Police say an emergency beacon was activated on Sunday afternoon east of the B.C. community.
They believe the beacon belonged to a man from Calgary, but they haven’t been able to find him. They add that he could have been swept over the Takakkaw Falls in the area.
Searchers needed to call off the rescue operation on Sunday night, but they are set to resume on Monday.
