Calgary police say the driver of a vehicle that fled from them has been located near Edmonton.
Investigators issued a plea to help Monday night after an incident earlier in the day when a police officer in a marked cruiser spotted a Dodge Ram truck stopped in a roundabout in McKenzie Towne.
The officer became concerned when he approached the vehicle and noticed a young girl inside the truck who appeared to be visibly upset.
Calgary police say RCMP stopped the vehicle near Edmonton on an unrelated matter around 3:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The child and driver were both in good condition.
Calgary police say their investigation is ongoing and charges are pending against the driver for fleeing police, driving dangerously and committing a hit and run.
