After 37 years on the air, CTV Calgary anchor, Darrel Janz, has stepped down from the weekday anchor desk and has handed over the reins to Tara Nelson.
Nelson will begin anchoring the CTV News at 6 on Monday, November 29.
Nelson was born and raised in Alberta and is back home after spending many years working as a journalist in western Canada and Europe.
Janz will be anchoring the 6 o'clock news on the weekends and he is also embarking on a new endeavor: he will be hosting a new segment, Inspired with Darrel Janz, where he will tell the stories of people who inspire others.
