People are asked to bring candles, glow sticks and flashlights to a vigil for Taliyah Marsman, 5, and her mother Sara Baillie, who were both murdered last week.
The mother’s body was found in her Panorama home on Monday, July 11, 2016. After an Amber Alert was issued, her daughter’s body was found in a field near Chestermere a few days later.
The vigil is slated for 7:30 pm in Sandstone Park in northwest Calgary.
Edward Delton Downey, 46, has been charged with two counts of first degree murder in the deaths of Taliyah and her mother.
Meantime, a cousin of Taliyah has written a song in her honour. Rapper L’il Chris, also known as Chris Johnson, has released the song “We All Cry and Miss You”. According to Johnson, funeral arrangements are still being made.
