Tensions are continuing to remain quite high for High River residents, who’ve just been allowed back into their community earlier this week.

Some residents are furious at the government for telling them to sign provincial release forms before going to check out their home.

Homeowners say that they would have signed the forms willingly had they been allowed access to the community from the beginning instead of needing to wait for the all cleari from local authorities..

A spokesman for the provincial operations centre says they want residents to be aware of the potential dangers they could face when they return.

Flooding on June 21 forced mandatory evacuations for the whole community of High River.

Residents and business owners are being allowed to return in stages.
