An investigation by the Homicide Unit has determined that the death of a man on a downtown street is not criminal in nature.
Emergency crews were called to the scene, near 10 Avenue and 2 Street S.W., at about 5:30 a.m., when a passerby dialled 911 to report a man lying on the sidewalk.
Calgary EMS arrived first at the scene and found the victim, a man believed to be in his 30s.
He was declared dead at the scene.
Police shut down roads in the area for a time for their investigation and say the man's death is not suspicious.
