The Lego Imagine Nation Tour is filling BMO Centre with fun and creativity for the weekend.
Imagine taking on Star Wars imperial troops, defending a medieval castle or taking part in a race car rally. You can do any of those at the show by building your own contribution to the display.
“The magic of Lego is creativity, the fact that you have something that has endless creative ability where you can literally build anything you want,” said Chris Steininger, Lego Master Builder. “One day those bricks you have in your hands can be a house, the next day they can be a spaceship, the next day they can be a racecar.”
The show also boasts some amazing full-sized replicas of well-known comic-book characters and other figures, and a massive Lego brick pit so people can make their own designs. Participants could also take tutorials with Master Builders direct from the Lego company, a title that is very rare.
“There are only eight of us in the world, but generally we look for artists, we are essentially sculptors, we sculpt with Lego bricks just like just like someone would sculpt with clay or wood,” said Steininger.
The Lego Imagine Nation Tour runs until Sunday before heading to its next stop in Vancouver.
