The man who fled from authorities in Alberta is expected in a U.S. courtroom on charges of harassment involving a teenage boy.

Michael Stanley, who led authorities on a province-wide chase after he cut off a monitoring bracelet last month, has been in custody since October 22.

A judge there set his bail at $100,000 and called in a flight risk.

Stanley could be charged with more offences as investigators continue to look into the alleged sexual assault of a teenaged boy.

He is a U.S. citizen and Alberta is not seeking his return to Canada.
