Teri Fikowski is a reporter and multi-skilled journalist at CTV News Calgary. Her career in journalism started in 2011 and has spanned a number of provinces in Canada, as well as work abroad in Europe and Africa.

Teri's dedication to her craft has been recognized with two prestigious awards, including an RTDNA and an Edward R. Murrow Award.

Her career began in radio at 660News in Calgary before moving into TV with roles at Global News in Lethbridge and later in Regina. She joined the team at CTV Calgary in 2019 and has covered a number of roles including videographer, producer, and backup anchor. Her passion for storytelling also led her on a stint with Journalists for Human Rights in Tanzania, where she collaborated with local reporters to expose human rights violations and government corruption.

She recently graduated with honours from Dublin City University with a Master of Science and Health Communication, where she was also recognized with the International Scholars Award for academic excellence. She also holds an Honours Diploma from the Broadcast News Program at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and a Communications Degree from the University of Calgary.

Fluent in both English and French, this born-and-bred Albertan is thrilled to share stories in her hometown of Calgary. Teri’s actively involved in the community through volunteer commitments and often emcees local events for organizations including the Canadian Liver Foundation, The Famous Five Foundation, The Calgary Food Bank, and the Canadian Progress Club.

When Teri’s not reporting, you can find her hiking up or skiing down the Alberta Rockies.
