Two child luring incidents in Calgary on Monday have police asking the public to report any information.
The first incident took place at 8:00 a.m. in Tuscany when a young girl was approached by a white van. The driver offered to give her a ride to school, but the girl declined and continued walking, then later told her parents who called police.
At about 4:20 p.m. the same day, another girl was walking in an alley in Coventry Hills when she was approached by a white van. The driver spoke to her but she ran away and told her parents who called police.
The girl in the second incident was able to provide a description of the driver:
- Caucasian male
- 20 to 30 years-old
- Long light-brown hair
- Heavy-set
- Glasses
The van is described as a white utility van with tinted back windows and no logos.
It is unknown at this time if the incidents are related.
Police encourage all parents to talk to their children about what to do when a stranger is making them uncomfortable.
