Calgary police are releasing a new photo in a 2008 homicide and are creating a Crime Stoppers reenactment in the hopes that someone will come forward with more information.
Kevin Steven Anaya, 21, died after he was shot in front of a home in the 1000 block of Marcombe Dr. N.E. as he exited his vehicle at about 6:00 p.m. back on August 9, 2008.
Police say another car drove by and the passenger fired several shots at Anaya.
The vehicle stopped and the passenger and driver got out, walked up to the victim and fired several more shots at him as he lay on the ground.
Investigators say the suspects then got back in their car and fled westbound on Marcombe Drive N.E.
On Tuesday, police released a CCTV still photo of a vehicle, described as a black Acura sedan, which they believe may have been used during the homicide.
The suspects are described as:
- Caucasian
- Between 178 and 183 cm or 5’10” to 6’ tall
- The offenders had their faces partially covered during the attack
