Officials with the Calgary Police Service are interviewing a ‘person of interest’ who was recorded on surveillance video at an LRT station near the time a body was discovered in the backyard of a home in Whitehorn.
On Saturday afternoon, police released five surveillance camera still images of the man.
Following tips from the public, CPS members identified the ‘person of interest’ and are currently interviewing the man.
Police have not released the man’s name as he has not been charged in connection to the death.
On Thursday afternoon, the body of 31-year-old Dawns Echoes Baptiste was located near a home on Whitworth Rd. N.E. Police have declared Baptiste’s death, which followed a violent struggle, a homicide.
Anyone with information about Baptiste’s activity in the days and weeks prior to her death is asked to contact the Calgary Police Service, 403-266-1234, or Crime Stoppers.
