Calgary police are looking for a woman who may have information about the death of 24-year-old Tyler Sanderson on a northeast street last month.

Police were called to the 5500 block of Maddock Drive N.E. at about 9:15 p.m. on Sunday, May 15 for reports of a disturbance.

Tyler Sanderson, 24, was found at the scene with serious injuries and was transported to hospital where he later died.

A few days later, police put out a plea to the public for help to locate Sanderson’s vehicle, which was found the next day.

Police are now looking for Lori Ann Heavenfire in connection to the case and say she may have information that is critical to the investigation.

“She’s a person of interest at this point in time. We have not been able to gain her cooperation to date so it’s hard to determine what her involvement is but we believe she has information related to this homicide,” said Inspector Don Coleman, of the CPS Homicide Unit.

Heavenfire, 34, is wanted on warrants for breach of conditions and police say she may be in Calgary or the surrounding area.

Investigators say Heavenfire could be driving a 2001, black, BMW 320i, with Alberta licence plate BRX4109.

Heavenfire is described as:

  • Aboriginal
  • About 160 cm or 5’3” tall
  • 57 Kg or 125 pounds
  • Dyed-blonde hair
  • Hazel eyes
