A pilot project will soon bring 20 instant ticket vending machines to select casinos and pubs at locations in and around Alberta’s two largest cities.
The Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission (AGLC) and Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) will place the machines in the following businesses in the Calgary area:
- Hexters Pub and Games Room (Bowness)
- Town and Country Motor Hotel (Forest Lawn Industrial)
- Richmond Pub & Eatery (Richmond)
- Deerfoot Inn & Casino (southeast Calgary)
- Century Downs Casino (Balzac)
- Elbow River Casino (Beltline)
- Casino Calgary (Meridian)
- Grey Eagle Casino (Tsuu T’ina)
“The AGLC’s job is to ensure Albertans have the best options to consider when spending their entertainment dollar, " said Bill Robinson, AGLC President and CEO. "We’re always looking for ways to improve gaming offerings in the province while being mindful of our commitment to integrity and social responsibility.”
According to the AGLC, the cash-only machines will be installed between September 21 and October 2015 and are scheduled to remain in place for the duration of the yearlong pilot project.
