Cooler temperatures that were turning heavy rains southwest and west of Calgary into heavy snow have let up, lifting a snowfall warning.
The conditions were slick on some roadways in several communities southwest and west of the city, including Kananaskis and Canmore..
A snowfall warning was issued for Kananaskis and Canmore at 3:30 Thursday and snow was also reported in the Bragg Creek and Black Diamond areas.
Environment Canada says much of the snow will melt quickly in the lower elevations but the Kananaskis region can expect between 10 and 15 cm of snow by Friday.
