Eleven ringette teams from across Canada were battling it out all week in Lethbridge for the University Challenge Cup, leading to Tuesday’s final between the University of Calgary Dinos and the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees.

In the first quarter, Josie Brown scored to give Calgary an early one-goal lead.

A few minutes later, Brown set up Taylor Klappe, who scored to put the Dinos up by two goals.

Calgary added another to build its lead, but Ottawa scored to cut the lead to two goals.

Ottawa kept coming too, scoring two more goals to tie it up in the second half.

Then Kendra Schwartz scored for the Dinos, a goal which proved to be the winner.

Calgary added one more for a 5-3 win to claim the University Challenge Cup.
