The Calgary Zoo will open its gates to the public on Wednesday for the first time since being ravaged by flood waters at the end of June.
The zoo suffered over $50 million in damages in the floods and crews have been working full out to clear pathways and restore services and exhibits.
Only a portion of the zoo will be ready for visitors on Wednesday as the recovery work continues.
Exhibits in the 60 acre northern section of the zoo will be open at 10:00 a.m. and includes the Penguin Plunge, Canadian Wilds and Prehistoric Park.
Tickets are $10 and admission is free for children two years of age and under.
The zoo will have a learning centre set up where you can find out more about the zoo's flood experience and also make donations to help with the rebuild.
