All lanes of the Trans-Canada Highway near Golden have reopened after a rock slide forced the closure of the roadway on Monday morning.
According to DriveBC, a rock slide early Monday morning blocked the Trans-Canada highway, approximately 16 km east of the community of Golden.
Power lines in the area were also been knocked down and B.C. Hydro crews were called to the area to deal with them.
The westbound lanes of the highway were reopened just before 10:00 a.m. and the eastbound lanes reopened shortly afterward..
