City officials have released design plans for the replacement of three pedestrian bridges over the Elbow River that were destroyed in last June’s flood and are asking Calgarians to add their input to some of the design elements.

The city has selected a suspension-style bridge design to replace the bridges at Rideau Park, Riverdale Avenue and Sandy Beach and has launched an online survey to gather feedback on some of the finer details.

The survey allows citizens to choose the style of the cross bracing and railings and also the colour of the tower.

The online survey will be available until March 24 and the city will also hold an information session at Christ Church, 3602 8 Street S.W., on March 11 from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m.

Calgarians can select their preferences for each bridge online HERE.
