Nearly 500 people gathered at the Highwood Memorial Centre on Sunday afternoon to remember the life of Carter Corrigan.

Friends and family members shared their memories of the 20-year-old University of Alberta student who perished in a December 20 rollover.

“He was just the kindest person, so smart, so willing to help everyone,” said Alandra Corrigan, Carter’s sister. “Carter was such an open person and such a loving person so welcoming to everyone.”

“I think the more we can share his story, the better.”

According to RCMP, Carter and Eli Gosselin were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the fatal rollover. Police continue to investigate the crash

A celebration of Eli’s life, the captain of the High River Flyers hockey club. is scheduled for Monday in Okotoks.

A fund has been created to honour Eli’s memory with ‘Heaven Can Wait’, an animal shelter in High River.
