Calgary Police have arrested a man in connection with a brutal assault on a woman in a home in the southwest community of Bankview.
Police were called to the scene shortly after 6 p.m. for reports that a woman was being attacked.
They arrived at a home on 19A Street S.W. and found the female victim had been struck and stabbed several times.
She was taken to hospital and officials say her injuries are not life threatening.
Police say the victim knew her attacker.
There is no word on charges at this time.
