Police say they’ve now charged a Calgary man in connection with an attempted robbery on Sunday afternoon.

At about 3:15 p.m. on July 26, police say a man entered a Cash Money location on Macleod Trail S.W. and passed a robbery note to the teller.

The teller went to the back of the store, but when they returned, the man was gone.

Police have now been able to track down the suspect and arrest him.

Timothy Christian Mackness, 23, was charged with one count of robbery and one count of wearing a disguise to commit an offence.

According to court documents, he was sentenced to 18 months probation for the first offence and the second was withdrawn by the Crown.
