Calgary Police have now charged a man in connection with the sexual assault of two teenage girls he developed a relationship with in the community.

Detectives in the Sex Crimes Unit launched an investigation after a young female reported the assaults to police back in 2013. The preliminary investigation turned up another victim.

Police say two girls, between the ages of 13 and 16, were involved in the offences that took place between July 2007 and August 2010.

On June 2, a man was arrested and charged in connection with both cases.

Kelly Ross Feser, 46, from Calgary, has been charged with:

  • Sexual interference with a child under 14
  • Two counts of sexual interference with a child under the age of 16
  • Two counts of sexual assault

Police say that Feser developed a relationship with the girls who live in the same community as him at the time of the offences.

"The offences always occurred at his residence in McKenzie Lake," says Bev Voros, with the CPS Sex Crimes Unit. "They were groomed by him. He would invite them over and offer massage services at which point he would sexually assault them."

Voros says he forced them to engage in sexual acts over a prolonged period of time.

Feser has been released on bail, with his next court appearance scheduled for June 26.

Police are asking any more possible victims of Feser to come forward to talk with them.

"There is always the potential for more victims," Voros said. "As with any sexual assault, we ask that any victims come forward to Calgary Police so that we can fully investigate."

Voros says that the two victims are being counseled by staff with Calgary Communities Against Sexual Abuse. She says they are doing well and are being very co-operative with the police investigation.
