One man suffered a gunshot wound during a late night break-in at a home in Forest Heights.

According to police, a thief entered a home on Fonda Mews Southeast, near the intersection of Memorial Drive and 36 Street, shortly after 11:00 p.m.

Two men and a woman were inside the home when the unwanted visitor appeared. One of the men attempted to grab the intruder but was shot during the struggle.

The thief fled the home before police arrived. Investigators believe the robbery was targeted.

The gunshot victim was transported by ambulance to hospital in stable condition.

The suspect is described as:

  • Dark-skinned
  • Approximately 170 cm (5’7”) tall
  • Weighing roughly 64 kg (140 lbs)
  • Having a thin moustache
  • Being between 25 and 30 years old
