A young family from Ontario moved here to get better care for their sick child and is having a hard time finding a place to call home.

Aubri Andre, 7, was diagnosed four months ago with a rare form of leukemia and was initially being treated in London, Ontario.

The Alberta Children’s Hospital has some of the best paediatric oncologists in the country so the Andre family packed up with three young kids in tow and came out west looking for a cure.

The family is living in a hotel from now and says they are grateful for the help they have received so far.

“Somebody paid from Wednesday to Wednesday for our hotel room here, just phenomenal. Somebody else and we don't know who they are, it's anonymous, and then somebody else rented us a vehicle for a week since our truck broke down,” said Lisa Andre.

Aubri is undergoing treatment four days a week at the hospital and the Andre’s are trying to sell their home in Ontario and purchase one here.

The family will have to stay in the city for at least three years while Aubri undergoes treatment and is hoping to find a home they can afford.

The family has set up a website called Aubri’s Angels and can be contacted HERE.
