The Calgary Police Service sex crimes unit is investigating a recent attack on a woman in a northwest park.
According to police, a woman was walking through Riley Park, in the 800 block of 12 Street N.W. between the hours of 11:00 p.m. Sunday and 1:00 a.m. Monday. An unknown man approached the woman from behind and pushed her to the ground. The suspect proceeded to sexually assault the woman.
The sexual assault suspect is described as having a heavy build and is believed to be between 183 cm and 188 cm (6’ and 6’2”) tall.
