Friends and family of Alvin and Kathryn Liknes gathered at a southeast church on Saturday morning to pay their respects to the couple who, along with their grandson, vanished from their Parkhill home in June.
The memorial service at the First Alliance Church included tributes from some of Alvin and Kathryn’s children, including Jennifer O’Brien, Allen Liknes, Jeff Liknes and Nancy Liknes.
Police have determined the deaths of the couple and their five-year-old grandson, Nathan O’Brien, were the result of homicide, despite the fact their remains have not been located. A suspect has been apprehended and charged in connection to the three deaths.
