The family of missing Nathan O’Brien, Alvin Liknes, and Kathy Liknes say they’ve been overwhelmed by the amount of support they’ve received since the trio’s disappearance.
That support was reflected in the hundreds of people who attended a candlelight vigil at the Parkhill Community Centre on Thursday night, a short walk from the place where the missing was last seen.
The community says the situation has left a cloud hanging over the whole community, but the family says they’re thankful for the support.
“It’s overwhelming,” says Jennifer O’Brien, Nathan’s mother. “We’re so appreciated. Keep hope alive for our family.”
She added that she is also greatly appreciative for the support and work of the Calgary Police Service.
O’Brien told the gathering that she and the family remains hopeful that police will find them.
