Members of the Didsbury RCMP detachment are searching for a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old girl after the girls, and a third suspect, allegedly injured a worker and stole a vehicle from an undisclosed group home on Saturday night.

According to RCMP, the incident occurred just before 9:00 p.m. The three female residents attacked and injured a worker. The staff member was confined and the three suspects left the home in the facility’s 2007 Toyota Sienna van. The vehicle is silver with Alberta licence plate 89H783.

The group home employee suffered minor injuries in the attack.

One of the three suspects has surrendered to Calgary police.

The 15-year-old suspect is described as:

  • Aboriginal female
  • Having an olive complexion
  • 173 cm (5’8”) tall
  • 59 kg (130 lbs)
  • Hazel eyes
  • Brown hair

The 16-year-old is described as:

  • Caucasian female
  • Having a fair complexion
  • 155 cm (5’1”) tall
  • Weighing 57 kg (125 lbs)
  • Blue eyes
  • Blonde hair

Anyone who encounters the stolen van or the suspects is asked to call local police or Crime Stoppers. RCMP members discourage anyone from approaching the suspects.
