Calgary police are attempting to locate the rightful owner of several pages of photographs, some dating back to the 1940s, after a man and his dog discovered the items during their walk in a southeast neighbourhood.

The keepsakes were located on Monday, September 15 and consist of both black and white and colour photographs, and an item which is believed to be a train passport from the 1970s, issued in Hungary.

According to police, the black and white photos appear to have been taken in the 1940s while the two colour photographs are from 1985. Families, children and weddings are included in the photo album pages.

Anyone with information about the owner of the photographs, or the families depicted in the images, is asked to contact the Calgary Police Service at 403-266-1234. Please quote case #14384030.
