The riding was greatly reduced in the 2019 redistribution, losing four areas with developing land in the southwest and parkland in the southeast to the very south of Calgary.

In the east, it has the Bow River as the eastern border south of Stoney Trail S.E. down to the Calgary border with Macleod Trail the western border of this area. It contains the Chaparral area around that tiny lake, below it are the Walden and Legacy areas.

West of Macleod Trail, the riding goes north to Shawnessy Boulevard and has, going south, the Shawnessy, Somerset, Shawville and Silverado neighbourhoods.

The west border is James McKevitt Road. Sheriff Lake is in the southeast.

Housing in this south Calgary riding costs 35 per cent more than the Alberta average and family income is the same amount over average.

Very little income is from government sources and only eight per cent qualify as low-income families.

Retail is the biggest employer here, followed by professional services. Almost half of residents were born in Alberta, and about 16 per cent are immigrants.
