Police have identified a known gang member as Calgary's latest murder victim.
23-year-old Roger Chin died in a hail of gun fire Saturday night as he drove up Centre Street in North Calgary.
Area residents say they heard numerous gun shots at about 10:30 pm.
When they went to investigate, they found a late model SUV up against a tree. Behind the wheel was the lifeless body of Chin.
Police recovered more than a dozen shell casings on the street.
People living nearby say they heard a vehicle drive off following the shooting.
Chin was no stranger to violence; he was targeted just five months ago. He was one of two men shot outside a North East gas bar.
Police at the time confirmed the shooting was the result of an on-going dispute between two groups.
