One woman is dead and three children were transported to hospital following a Wednesday afternoon rollover on Highway 513.
According to RCMP officials, emergency crews responded to a location south of Grassy Lake at approximately 3:30 p.m. following reports of a single vehicle crash.
On arrival, first responders located a deceased woman, age not confirmed, at the crash scene near the intersection of Highway 513 and Range Road 140.
One passenger was airlifted from the scene by a STARS Air Ambulance crew to a hospital in Calgary.
Two of the passengers, ages and genders not released, were transported by ground ambulance to an area hospital.
The conditions and nature of the injuries of the three passengers, who were all minors, has not been confirmed.
RCMP have closed a section of eastbound and westbound Highway 513, between Range Road 135 and Range Road 140, to facilitate the investigation. The closure is expected to remain in place until 11:00 p.m.
The cause of the rollover has not been confirmed but RCMP officials say the road conditions and weather are not believed to be factors.
