A day after the province’s former Finance Minister announced his departure from politics, another former minister has announced he is quitting.
Fred Horne, who served most recently as Health Minister, spent two terms in the legislature, representing the riding of Edmonton-Rutherford.
Horne spent most of his time working with the different levels of the Health Ministry.
He was shuffled out of the cabinet along with Finance Minister Doug Horner on September 15, 2014.
Horne’s departure fuels even more speculation that it could be a matter of weeks before Premier Jim Prentice calls an election.
