It was music heaven for thousands of country music fans Thursday night as country star Garth Brooks thrilled the crowd at the Saddledome.

But while fans inside swayed to the first song “Rodeo”, some dejected fans outside the dome were filling out police reports.

Dozens of people showed up for the concert with what turned out to be counterfeit tickets to the sold-out show.

Most of the fraudulent tickets were bought online for hundreds, even thousands of dollars.

About 50 people were stung by the bad news when they showed up at the concert gates, most of them had bought their tickets on Kijiji and All-Star Tickets.

Valid ticket holders were treated to Brooks’ greatest hits. He even brought his wife, country star Trisha Yearwood onstage to join him and his full band.
