Incident in southwest Airdrie cleared, police say
Mounties blocked off a scene in southwest Airdrie for several hours on Friday morning.
At 5 a.m., Airdrie RCMP said several police officers were called to a scene at the 40 Avenue bridge, near South Point Landing.
Officials have not released any details about what happened.
There is no risk to the public, but traffic is being detoured.
Traffic on the QEII Highway is unaffected.
Police cleared the scene at just after 8 a.m.
