The 10th annual GlobalFest gets underway at Elliston Park in Calgary on Thursday night and this year’s show promises to be the biggest bang yet.
The Trico Homes International Fireworks Festival will be held over six nights and include team from the Phillipiones, Mexico, China, Brazil and the USA.
The finale will be a blow out show put on by GlobalFest & Sirius Pyrotechnics and the show’s director Patrick Brault, who designed the pyrotechnics for the 2010 Winter Olympics opening and closing ceremonies.
Visitors can also take in the many events at the OneWorld Festival and sample tasty treats from a variety of local vendors.
General admission is $15 and the gates are open from 6:00 p.m. until 11:30 p.m.
The show runs from August 16 – 26.
