Large outage leaves several southern Alberta communities in the dark

Fortis Alberta crews are working to restore power to nearly 4,000 customers after overnight snow caused a large outage and downed a number of power lines.

According to Fortis Alberta, outages have been reported in the following communities:

• Cochrane
• High River
• Claresholm
• Lethbridge
• Cardston
• Taber
• Vauxhall

Officials with Fortis Alberta have not released an estimated time for power restoration.
