Canada Post says the extreme weather in Alberta is making it challenging for its carriers to deliver mail to some addresses.

Canada Post says its staff is making reasonable attempts to deliver mail and parcels where possible but transportation and accessibility is a problem because of the snow.

The blizzard has closed some highways and made many roads impassable over the last two days and Canada Post says those factors have prevented it from delivering to close to 90,000 addresses.

Officials say normal delivery will resume once the weather improves and are reminding residents to keep walkways clear so letter carriers can get through.
