A local man has been arrested and is facing charges following the distribution of hundreds of flyers containing pornographic images in the southeast community of Southview over a two year period.
Between 2011 and 2013, harassing literature containing the name, address and phone number of a local woman, allegations about the woman, and pornographic images, was plastered around a Southview street and delivered to homes in the area.
The victim received multiple phone calls soliciting her for sexual encounters.
In June of 2013, the father of the 40-year-old victim notified police of the ongoing harassment.
Following an investigation into the allegations, police arrested and charged 61-year-old Anthony Victor Hilton of Calgary on January 31, 2014.
Hilton faces:
- Two counts of criminal harassment/stalking
- One count of utter, convey, cause threat to a person
According to police, Hilton and the victim are known to each other.
Hilton is scheduled to appear in court in March.
