Man dies after stabbing on southeast street

Police are looking for suspects after a man died following a stabbing in southeast Calgary early Monday morning.

Emergency crews were called to the 5300 block of 5 Avenue S.E. at about 7:15 a.m. and found a man lying on the sidewalk suffering from stab wounds.

The man in his 30s was taken to hospital by EMS in serious, life threatening condition and later died from his injuries.

The Homicide Unit is leading the investigation and has not released any information about the man's identity.

An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
