Martin Fryk scores in overtime to give Wranglers 5-4 victory over Moose
The Wranglers kicked off 2025 with a thriller Friday night, defeating the Moose 5-4 in overtime in a game played at the Saddledome.
Martin Frk scored his second goal of the night in overtime to squash a third-period Manitoba rally and give Calgary the win.
Dryden Hunt, William Stromgren, David Silye added singles for the Wranglers.
Alex Johnsson-Fjalby, Parker Ford, Chaz Lucius and Mason Shaw scored for the Moose, who erased a 4-2 deficit in the third to force overtime.
Fryk led the way for the Wranglers, picking up three points on the night, while Hunt scored in his 300th AHL game.
Next up is a rematch Sunday night at the Saddledome. Puck drop is scheduled for 6 p.m.
