A memorial foundation has been set up in Amber Webb-Bowerman's name.

The 30-year-old was one of four people killed in a murder-suicide in a Dalhousie apartment last May.

She was stabbed to death by Jashua Lall, who also murdered his wife and two daughters before taking his own life.

The Amber Webb-Bowerman Memorial Foundation will be used to help young artists and journalists get their education.

It will also sponsor a student writing award.

Webb-Bowerman was a journalist and encouraged young people to enter the profession.

She received her training at SAIT Polytechnic, where the memorial fund was announced Tuesday morning.
