Calgary Police have a suspect in custody but are still investigating after a man was stabbed in the northwest on Friday morning.

At about 3 a.m., a man in his mid 20s was dropped off at Foothills Hospital, suffering from critical injuries.

He’d been stabbed in the abdomen and leg, and is now in stable condition in hospital.

Police say the incident took place in the parking lot of a McDonald’s on Crowfoot Way.

They confirm that an arrest has been made but aren't releasing further details.

They are speaking with a witness, but are looking for anyone else with more information to come forward.
