RCMP in Airdrie are asking the public for help to find a suspect in a robbery at a ATM on main street almost two weeks ago.
Police say a woman entered the Scotiabank at about 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18 to withdraw some money from the ATM.
Someone approached her from behind, grabbed her by the neck and threatened to shoot her if she didn’t hand over the money.
Police say the suspect fled the area with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect is described as follows;
- Black male
- About 170 to 180 cm or 5'7” to 5'11 “ tall
- Athletic build
- Was wearing a black knitted neck warmer over his mouth, grey jacket with a hood, blue jeans and a white t-shirt
The suspect vehicle is described as:
- Beige/brown colored
- Older model
- Four door sedan with dark interior.
Police say the woman was not injured in the incident.
