Police are looking to speak to a third person who may have information in a hit and run crash that killed a 52-year-old man last week.

Police were called to a two vehicle crash at about 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 18 after witnesses reported seeing a truck driving southbound in the northbound lanes on 37 Street SW.

The truck collided head-on with car near 130th Avenue and the occupants of the pickup then fled the scene.

The driver of the car, Keith Arthur Morley, 52, suffered fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police believe the truck was stolen from Chestermere prior to the incident and the Canine Unit located two people near the scene who were taken into custody.

Janelle Umpherville, 26, is charged with four counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000, one count of occupying a stolen motor vehicle and one count of breach of a recognizance order.

A 17-year-old male is charged with one count of possession of stolen property under $5,000 and one count of occupying a stolen motor vehicle.

Police are now looking to speak to Derek Brian Grouette, 33, and say he may have information about the crash.
