RCMP have retrieved the body of a 35-year-old woman from the Highwood River.
The identity of the deceased has not been released, but the woman had been reported missing to local authorities.
Witness accounts stating the body had been seen near the Highwood Bridge in the town of High River surfaced on Friday, but river conditions inhibited officers from searching.
The Highwood River remains fast and conditions along the banks treacherous.
