One man is dead and a woman has been transported by ambulance from the northeast neighbourhood of Redstone with undisclosed injuries following reports of shots fired.
According to police, emergency crews responded to a home on Redstone Manor N.E. at approximately 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.
An injured woman, age not confirmed, was located and removed from the scene by ambulance in life threatening condition accompanied by a police escort.
The other occupants of the home, which included children, did not require medical attention.
CPS officers have disclosed to neighbours that a shooting had taken place.
Members of the homicide unit are leading the investigation,
"At this time there are no concerns for the safety of the general public.," said the CPS in a Facebook statement posted shortly after 9:00 p.m.. "Officers will be in the area for several hours while we conduct an investigation."
Police confirm they are searching for a white van in connection with the events in Redstone. A suspect description has not been released.
